Clinical Supervision
I provide clinical supervision and consultation to RP(Qualifying) registrants, social workers, and other early-career therapists building psychotherapy skills. Supervision is offered virtually across Ontario; consultation is open to clinicians anywhere.
I supervise therapists who want to get comfortable with the hard stuff. Before private practice, I spent more than a decade in community mental health — sexual assault centres, a clinic serving survivors of gender-based violence, managing a counselling team of twelve. High-risk was part of the everyday work: suicidality, disclosures, safety planning. I’ve learned not to panic at the hard stuff, and I’ll help you get there too.
Together we’ll work on the foundations of trauma-informed care, the neurobiology of trauma, trauma processing through somatic and parts-based approaches, and the high-risk skills that early-career clinicians most often carry alone.
My style is knowledgeable but playful. Supervision should be the hour in your week where you exhale, not the one you rehearse for.
Individual and dyadic formats. Dyadic hours count the same as individual toward CRPO requirements — bring a colleague and split the cost.

Supervision fees
My rate mirrors yours: if you’re a practising clinician, I charge you what you charge your clients. Your session fee is my hourly rate — it keeps supervision proportionate to where you actually are in your practice.
Students and pre-licensed clinicians pay my standard hourly rate ($170).
I continue to offer reduced rates for clinicians working in community — community mental health continues to support those most in need. Please reach out to discuss sliding-scale rates for supervision and consultation.
Common questions
What’s the difference between supervision and consultation?
Supervision is the formal, regulated relationship: we meet on a regular schedule, I hold defined responsibility for supporting your clinical work and development, and the hours can count toward your college’s supervision requirements. Consultation is collegial support for practising clinicians — ongoing or case-by-case — where responsibility for the work stays with you.
The short version: if you need hours, you need supervision. If you want another brain on your hardest cases, consultation may be the fit — and it’s open to clinicians outside Ontario as well.
How often do we meet?
It depends where you are. Clinicians early in their practice usually meet weekly or every other week — often enough that the hard cases don’t have to wait. More experienced clinicians often land on monthly, and consultation can be a standing time or entirely as-needed. We’ll find a rhythm that fits your caseload, your college’s expectations, and your budget.
Who can you supervise?
In Ontario, psychotherapy is practised by members of several regulated colleges — psychotherapists, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, and physicians — and I provide supervision and consultation to clinicians across all of them who are building their psychotherapy practice.
If you’re an RP(Qualifying), the question underneath is usually: will my hours count with a social worker? They will. CRPO accepts clinical supervision from members of the other psychotherapy-practising colleges, including my college (OCSWSSW), when the supervisor meets its criteria — five or more years of clinical experience, the equivalent of 1,000 direct client hours and 150 hours of supervision received, 30 hours of supervision-specific training, and CRPO’s supervision module. I meet all of these — well in excess of the required 30 hours of formal supervision training — and am pursuing a certificate in Clinical Supervision from Wilfrid Laurier University.
